Livestream Vest: Madrid
El segundo performance realizado por Liu Bolin en España forma parte de un proyecto de mayores dimensiones que el artista ha realizado en diferentes emplazamientos del mundo.
En esta obra, el artista se colocó la célebre máscara de anonymous y un chaleco con 24 teléfonos móviles con sus cámaras frontales en modo video, de manera que el público puede verse a sí mismo reflejado en la obra.
En el desarrollo de este performance, el artista recorrió un sector considerable de la ciudad de Madrid formando una trayectoria de t, el cual constituye el segundo performance que realiza como parte de este proyecto, cuya primera etapa hizo en Nueva York siguiendo una trayectoria de h.
En cada emplazamiento, el artista realiza el trayecto formando una letra diferente hasta completar las letras http... Esta obra representa no sólo una crítica a cómo la era digital que vivimos nos inunda permanentemente de necesidades creadas por el hombre y para el hombre sino que representa a su vez, un ejercicio reaccionario ante la dualidad perceptiva del público: Terrorismo - Arte.
The second performance made by Liu Bolin in Spain is part of a larger project that the artist has made in different locations around the world.
In this work, the artist wore the famous Anonymous’ mask and a vest with 24 mobile phones with their frontal cameras recording videos, so people of the audience can watch themselves reflected in the work.
During the development of the performance, the artist went across a considerable sector of Madrid creating a t-shape trajectory, which constitutes the second performance he carries out as part of this project. The first phase of this project was made in New York, following an h-shape trajectory.
On each location, the artist goes across a trajectory by forming a different letter until completing http. This work represents not only a criticism to the way we are permanently invaded with necessities made by and for the individuals in the digital time in which we live, but it also represents a reactive exercise facing the duality of the audience’s perspective: Terrorism – Art.
