En el marco de su primera exposición en España, Liu Bolin, reconocido artista chino maestro del mimetismo decidió realizar su primer performance frente a un kiosko de revistas cuyo significado intrínseco subyace en la cultura del espectáculo de la sociedad contemporánea. Es una alusión a las distracciones banales en las que se ve sumergido el ser humano cuando su capacidad de alterar su propio camino se ve limitada por una fuerza superior. Esto nos trae reminiscencias a la famosa expresión de la Roma antigua Panem et circenses o Pan y circo.
In the framework of the first exhibition in Spain, Liu Bolin, recognized Chinese artist and master of mimicry, decided to make his first performance in front of a magazine stand. Its intrinsic meaning underlies in the performance culture of the contemporary society. It is an allusion to the banal distractions in which human being is immersed when their ability to change their own path is limited by a superior force. This hearkens back to the famous expression of the ancient Rome Panem et circenses or Bread and circus.
